I like to be very efficient in what I keep in my makeup bag so that I can just grab it and go, like for a last minute trip, or if I’m running late and need to do my makeup when I get to work or wherever.
That being said, here is what I keep in my handy-dandy makeup bag, to keep me presentable at all times.
My petite (but somewhat stretchy) makeup bag to hold all my essentials.
The Contents of the Bag.
Top row: Toothbrush for blending eyebrow powder. Best blending brush ever.
Second Row (Left to right): Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Set in Coffee Bean, (ab0ve – red) Maybelline Expert Wear Eyebrow Pencil in Velvet Black (comes in a set of two), (below – blue) Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara in Black (this is a sample size I got about a month ago, definitely plan to purchase the full size, it’s been awesome for creating full, thick, noticeable lashes), Maybelline Ultra Brow Brush On Eyebrow Color in Dark Brown
Third Row: Lancome Color Focus Eyeshadow Palette in Snap, Prop, Optic, & Daylight, Clinique Perfectly Real Makeup in Shade 02, Maybelline Mineral Powder SPF 18 in Pure Beige + Brush, Almay Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Black (the best liquid eyeliner pen I’ve ever tired!), Lancome Le Crayon Khol in Black Ebony (I don’t know if this is available for individual purchase, this came as part of a gift with purchase set – but it’s been an amazing black crayon eyeliner, I prefer it over MAC because it doesn’t bleed as much), Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Blackest Black (by far the greatest black mascara that you can purchase in a drugstore)
Fourth Row: Trio of Lancome Color Design Eyeshadows in Pink Pearls, Pink Zinc, & Drama, Lancome Large Powder Brush (I use this for these iridescent eyeshadows)
Fifth Row: Revlon ColorStay Overtime Sheer Lipcolour in Sheer Champagne (one of my favorite nude lip colors), Wet n Wild Coloricon Lipliner in Willow (a great nude lipliner to put under any lipstick to hold it in place & prevent bleeding. Plus it’s only $1!), Lancome Sharpener, Revlon Tweezers
Sixth Row (lipsticks!): Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in True Red (one of the best red lipsticks I’ve tried – not too orange and not too pink in the undertones, just a true red, like the name), Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Raspberry (a good red color for those not quite ready for the pop of the True Red), Lancome Color Design Lipstick in The New Pink, Lancome Color Design Lipstick in Love It (my daily color – it’s just pink enough to see something is there, but not too in your face that it can’t be worn every day), & Lancome Color Design Lipstick in All Done Up
Note: You can find almost all of these products at your local drugstore (with the exception of the Lancome & Clinique products).
The bag is great because it’s small enough that it can fit in my daily Coach tote (along with my wallet, laptop, Kindle, and everything else), or into an overnight bag without taking up too much room. And these really are my essentials, so I hardly even bother with the other items I have in my much larger train case. I can just grab this bag and be ready to go!
